Lovers of writing exciting and fresh, welcome to The Rag & Bone Man Press Inc. We are an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, publishing non-fiction and fiction by undiscovered and up-and-coming writers. Our aim is to track down, gather and publish unique collections of stories in community-related book projects.
Rag & Bone encourages creative collaborations, holding Salons where writers come together to keep the energy and ideas for their writing and projects alive. Rag & Bone enables these writers, and communities whose resources and opportunities are limited, to have their voices heard. If you have any ideas for story collections or community projects – everything from stories on the environment or human rights to 25 word soliloquies or folk tales – please contact us to discuss.
We now also have a children's imprint, Little Barrow Press. We welcome any topics or ideas for creative, fun and socially-aware children’s books that you may have.
Volunteers and donations are an essential part of making our projects happen. If you would like to volunteer for the Press in any way, be it writing, editing, design, business or admin, please let us know. Or if you are able to donate, it is hugely appreciated.
Rag & Bone was founded by Dan Christie, Keira de Hoog and Hannah Cartmel, all of whom work in publishing and creative enterprises across Melbourne.
